Downs Link Relay
The club Downs Link Relay was originally organised by long-term member Kim Gow as an alternative event for the South Downs Way Relay.
It’s an event open to members only, and has now found its way as a winter event, held in early December.
The format is based on the Six Stage Route published by West Sussex County Council (Link below).
It’s open to teams of three or six; teams of three complete two separate legs, with teams of six completing one leg each.
The race starts at St Martha’s Hill near Guildford, and finishes in Shoreham, just behind the Ropetackle Buildings. As is usual (and indeed necessary!), the spoils for the winners and commiserations to the losers are held at a hostelry near the finish.
