I really enjoyed the ‘Downlands Dash’ having now done it twice!

The whole event is managed very professionally, right from car parking, marshalling, water station & then extremely quick results available on Burgess Hill Runners website. I look forward to running it again next year (& in future years). Thanks to BHR for putting on an excellent event in beautiful surroundings.

It could be a shorter course to avoid the tricky and muddy woods. Otherwise a good event

It’s a great course. I’ve enjoyed it both this year and last year. The course is really well marshalled – I did not get lost! It was not a problem running around the fields and the fiddle bits in the woods too. I think it was better this year as the course was longer. I also like it because it is all off road – better for the joints. It’s also a pleasant event to go to – with all the other attractions at the school. Please thank them from me. I’ll definitely come back to Downlands next year! Kind regards,Paul

Just to say many thanks for a really enjoyable Downlands Dash race today. Every aspect from when we drove in to the car park to when we left was brilliant. A big thank you to the organisers and marshals for an excellent event. x Christine Archer

The day after I sent you the cheque, I suffered a calf strain during a tempo run and thought I would be out for a few weeks. Fortunately, it wasn't nearly as bad as I first feared and I was able to do the run today, although much below my usual pace. So glad I did, because I absolutely loved it and thought your team did a superb job of organising - great marshals, too, so encouraging! The water pouches at the drinks station were an excellent idea - definitely do that again next year. Easily the best organised and most welcoming fun run so far this year (and I've run them all) - please offer my thanks to everyone on your team, their efforts were hugely appreciated.Best wishes and hope to be back next year, Mark

Dear BH Runners, This is just a quick note to say thank you for the incredible experience today, the Downland Dash was truly an amazing course to run, the atmosphere was friendly, the cakes were delicious and the marshalling and course marking was literally out of this world! There were points on the run where I had no idea on which compass heading I was running toward due to all the bends and turns but not once did I feel uncertain where the course was, incredible. Thank you so much for great day, this race is truly an asset to the WSFRL and I only hope our run in August can come close in being as organised.  Jake Fletcher of the Hove Hornets

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed todays race. The marshalls were great and really encouraging, it makes all the difference. Thank you! Esther, Goring Road Runners

A few of us from Henfield Joggers ran the Downland Dash on Saturday and all commented on how well marshalled the event was. It really makes a big difference to be pointed in the right direction and encouraged on your way at regular intervals. Also very welcome water stop half way round. Well done and many thanks to all involved. Best wishes, Liz Pamment Henfield Joggers

I just wanted to say “thanks” for putting on a great run on Saturday. I am relatively new to these events as it is only the third organised run that I have taken part in, but it was well organised and your marshals were enthusiastic and very helpful in providing directions and hazard warnings. The water pouches were great as during previous runs I have been handed water in plastic/paper cups, which are not easy to drink out of when running. The course was more challenging than I expected it to be, and in the woods my legs was all over the place, but I enjoyed it all the same. Next year I will leave the lightweight road runners at home and run in something sturdier! Andy.

Many thanks for great photo’s, lovely to have a new coarse, Marshalls were great very enthusiastic, well done on your new venue, From Dave and the Goring Road Runners

The ladies on the entry desk were very understanding. It was no problem at all. I enjoyed the race although, as an average runner, I did find it quite hard. The bit in the woods was tricky but made the run more interesting. Thank you again to all of your marshals (and there were a lot of them) for their encouragement. I would be happy to have this one again. Cherry [SAC]

Hi. I would just like to say what a great fun run you put on yesterday. Although I was slipping all over in the woods (wrong trainers) I really enjoyed the run. I know I can speak for the rest of the worthing harriers. Great marshalling and encouragement all round. Fantastic workSharla

Hi there, I am an Arunner and took part in your run today. You said you wanted feedback and I enjoyed the run so much I am doing that very thing as soon as I have got home. What a great event there. Very well marshalled by happy people and yes, a good route and lots of fun. Great to get a goody bag as well and most unexpected on a league run. Great event, good route, well organized. Many thanks.
