Method of Scoring

In each race points are awarded to members of Grand Prix clubs - the remaining runners in each race are not counted. The first man and the first women will both score 500 points, the second man and women will both score 499 points and so on, down to the 500th man and woman who will both score 1 point. After each race the points that you score are recorded and kept as a cumulative total. To be eligible for prizes you must score in at least eight races (if you score in more than eight, then your best eight scores will count) two of which must be of 10 miles or more. Other Rules to Bear in Mind

You must wear your club vest, the rule is "no vest - no points". However, there are exceptions, such as wearing fancy dress or a sponsor's vest. If this is the case then you should let your SGP representative know in case any disputes arise.

If you enter a race "on the day" you may not be classed as a SGP club runner, but you are still entitled to the points. In order to insure that you get your points, let your SGP representative know.

Finally, only compete with the running number issued to you by the race organisers, if you do run with someone else's number then let the race organisers know before the start of the race.

Burgess Hill members who have any queries or comments regarding the Sussex Grand Prix should e-mail our SGP Representative (members of other clubs should contact their own representative).
