We have now re-opened our juniors section, which meets on Wednesday evening at 7:30pm at the Burgess Hill School gym. Training on Wednesdays will initially be for over 13s only and will form part of the adult development squad. Training will primarily be of endurance running and consist of warming up, the session itself and stretching/ cool-down. The session itself will usually comprise a slow run to a location, a structured programme of training (e.g. faster pace repetition, pyramids, hills, continuous effort) as well as some fun events. Juniors will be able to participate in the following: i. Sussex
cross-country league age-graded (boys & girls) races- four a year. All our coaches are CRB checked by UK athletics and have undertaken training in child protection. Many are sports teachers in their own right. The club has also appointed to a Welfare officer. All coaches have relevant qualifications, and insurance cover through the club.
