The Beginner Groups meet at 6.30pm every Wednesday in the Senior School Gym (Webb House) Burgess Hill School for Girls, Keymer Road, Burgess Hill. We cater for two levels, Beginners & Improvers. In both groups, we always go at the pace of the slowest runner and no-one is ever left behind.
Your first four weeks are completely free so you can decide whether you like us or not.
For this group, you don’t need to be able to run at all. This session is very slow and is made up of jogging / walking if necessary. We are out for about 30mins maximum and we can cover around 2miles. This 30mins is made up of games / relays etc with recovery breaks and so is not all constant running.
You are welcome to stay in this group for as long as you want but if you want to progress, you can try our next group.
After a few weeks / months, you may well discover your running legs. If this is the case, you can try our Improver group. This group is out for around 45-50mins and can cover around 3-4miles. The games / drills within the session are a little bit faster & longer but still nothing to worry about.
